Level 1 Instructor Training Course
Dates: January 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28
Hours: 18:00-22:00 Israel time; 11:00-3:00 pm EST
This course is for participants who want to enhance their personal Breath-Body-Mind™ (BBM) practice and develop the skills to safely and effectively instruct BBM practices with clients and small groups.
Led by Senior BBM Teacher Shira Gordon and a team of senior BBM teachers.
With presentations by BBM developers Richard P. Brown, MD & Patricia L. Gerbarg, MD.
32 hours of live online training.
8 hours of pre-recorded lectures and presentations.
The course is taught in Hebrew (partially) and English with Hebrew translation.
You will receive 60 days of free access to the BBM Level One course recordings.
This level one BBM Instructor training is suitable for healthcare professionals, coaches, practitioners, therapists, yoga and meditation teachers, schoolteachers, military, first responders, EMTs, police, firefighters, disaster relief workers, and service organizations.

In this first of the three-level BBM teacher training sequence, you learn to teach the core BBM techniques to individuals for stress, coping with COVID-19, anxiety disorders, PTSD, military trauma, post-disaster, depression, ADHD, and stress-related medical conditions. Specific methods taught in this program include:
Ha breath – 2 ways
Breathing practices with movement.
Coherent breathing
Breath moving
4-4-6-2 breathing
Trauma-sensitive BBM teaching skills.
Breathing challenge observation skills.
Sequencing BBM practices.
Precautions in teaching individuals with psychiatric and medical conditions.
Introduction to integrating Breath Practices with coaching, therapy, and a range of wellbeing methodologies.
Increase your understanding of the neurophysiological effects of voluntarily regulated breathing practices on emotion regulation, bonding, and cognitive function. Practice teaching while BBM teachers observe and offer suggestions for improvement. Attention is given to creating a safe container, tone of voice, pacing, the accuracy of instruction, and trauma sensitivity.

Preparing for your BBM Instructor Training Course
A regular personal practice of Coherent Breathing (20 minutes per day, 5–7 days per week).
Attend a minimum of 6 hours of BBM group practice sessions.

Completion of a 12-hour Breath-Body-Mind Fundamentals Course
Attend a minimum of 6 hours of BBM Classes.
Complete 40 hours of BBM Level One Instructor Training - 32 hours of live online training, plus 8 hours of pre-recorded sessions.
Demonstrate the ability to guide others safely and effectively in Fundamental BBM practices.

On successful completion of Level-1 Instructor Training, you will acquire the skills to:
Teach the core BBM practices to individuals.
Assist in teaching BBM Introductory Courses.
Conduct follow-up BBM group practice sessions.
Offer guidance to beginners in these techniques of self-regulation.
Help develop programs in your communities and workplaces.
Participants who complete all sessions and who demonstrate competence in teaching BBM core techniques will receive Breath-Body-Mind Level-1 Instructor Certification. Those who are not able to demonstrate competence by the end of this training will receive a provisional certificate and be encouraged to attend additional weekly practice sessions to complete certification.
