3-Day Online Instructors Course for Military Personnel

Dates:

May 2-4, 2025

Time:

15:30-20:30 (Kyiv time)

This course is being led by a Ukrainian team of senior BBM teachers (Kateryna Boichenko, Yuliana Vozniuk, Olga Korniushyna, Natalia Kuznetsova, Kateryna Solimchuk). The founders of the Breath-Body-Mind method, Dr Richard Brown and Dr Patricia Herbarg, will also be conducting sessions in this course.

After completing the course and fulfilling all certification requirements, you will receive a certificate of a BBM Instructor for the military.

  • This course is for military personnel and veterans who have a certificate of the ‘BBM Fundamentals Course’ (or are about to receive it after the previous Fundamentals Course).

  • In this 3-day express course, we will work on the sequences of the BBM exercises ‘Sleep’, ‘Recovery’ (counteracting exhaustion) and ‘Activation of Energy’ and the main exercise of the BBM technique - conducting coherent breathing to relax and restore nervous system. We will train the necessary basic instructor skills to teach the Breath-Body-Mind methodology, create and adapt exercise sequences for your target audience.

The combination of these sequences and exercises can be integrated into the 5-level system of psychological assistance to military personnel and can be used as a supplement to training activities and peer support.

  • Here’s feedback from participants of the previous instructor course for the military:

‘Useful exercises that I will use when working on relaxation and activation’

‘Will make it easier and expand my toolkit for working with the military’

‘Work on recovery with military personnel and as one of the methods when working with traumatic experiences.

I will also use this method for myself for recovery and as a burnout prevention.’

‘One of the most effective methods of harmonisation of the body, mind, and emotions at the moment.’

‘The new techniques and materials from Dr Brown's and Dr Gerberd's manuals and lectures will add validity to the explanation of the impact of coherent breathing for military personnel.’

‘Now I can confidently teach my colleagues a great practice for self-regulation’

‘I have faith and hope that we will create a psychological recovery point and be able to use these techniques for the benefit of our colleagues’

‘For now, I will practice for myself. I plan to have the opportunity to interact directly with groups of servicemen who need help in the course of my service.’

  • This course is provided free of charge by the Breath-Body-Mind Foundation.
