Paula A. Nevoso
Paula is presidents of CarePoint Foundation, Jersey City, New Jersey. For more than 40 years, I have been involved in non for profit work, leading fund-raising organizations which include healthcare and institutions of higher education.
I’m currently the President of The CarePoint Foundation, the non-profit arm of a three hospital CarePoint Health System. My role has been to oversee and execute successful fund-raising programs to ensure the financial viability of the institution. In addition to my work as a fund-raiser, I have been very active in the community that I work. I have served on numerous boards including, The Waterfront Project, an organization that provides free legal services and housing to homeless vets. I have also served on the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce board in the community in which I am employed. Among other boards I have been a part of include Josephine's Place a day program for at risk Latina Women. It is an amazing program run by an order of Catholic nuns and I am their primary fund-raiser, as a volunteer of course.
Through the years, I have been honored by many organizations including United Way of Hudson County, The Waterfront Project, Josephine’s Place and The Hudson County Chamber of Commerce for my work in the community. Volunteering, is perhaps, the single most gratifying thing I have done in my life and will continue to be active in this role past retirement.
I joined the board of BREATH-BODY-MIND because I have witnessed the tremendous benefits, that their programs have brought to countless individuals who have participated! Most recently, these techniques have been extremely effective in treating long haulers who have suffered the ongoing stress of Coronavirus.
Volunteering for this amazing organization is one of the most gratifying projects I have ever been involved with in my life as their mission expands worldwide and continues to touch so many lives.
